Are you a mature Christian READ this to find out Do words really matter? People who talk all the time are usually guilty of at least 3 sins,
James 3:2 "For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man (mature Christian) and able also to bridle the whole body.
James 3:6 "and the tongue is a fire, a world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth, (the cycle of man’s nature) being itself ignited by Hell."
Basically hell gets to your tongue and then all hell breaks loose in your life. People who are always talking are usually guilty of at least three sins. There are three stages to spiritual growth that corresponds or is similar to natural growth.
The Spirit Within or the “New Birth.” BABYHOOD STAGE CHILDHOOD STAGE MATURITY STAGE \ BABYHOOD STAGE 1 Babies are innocent. (2 Cor 5:7) They are new creatures in Christ. 2 A baby is full of faith and ready to learn, “very teachable” 3 A baby is ignorant, but has no fear. (2 Timothy 1:7, Col 2:8) A newborn will eat anything.
It is ignorant of the effect it will have on its body, (its soul) mind, will and emotions are undeveloped or out of control. 4. A baby is easily poisoned spiritually by certain materials or doctrines that are not necessary to salvation.
A rule to go by, does it: Edify or build faith, or exhort or inspire one to holiness. Or Does it provide comfort? A Pastor has to be careful what his babies read and eat.
(2nd Tim 2:19-26, 1st John 3:9 and 5:9) 5. Irritable babies are easily spoiled. They want attention, they want their way, and they want all the attention focused on them, they want to be “petted.” 6. They need to be weaned.
If weaned properly the baby will turn to meat and not cry. The baby at this stage is spoiled and selfish, ready to throw a fit, always ready to blame someone else for their problems. It is always “not me, not me, not me.”
7. Babies are easily frustrated; they are easily distracted, easily hurt, they wear their feelings on their sleeves, “but what about me?” “Look at how I have been treated you don’t know what I’ve through!“...“You don’t know how I’ve been hurt!” They talk about me.
Babies allow words to hurt, mature Christians do not. 1st Cor 1:7: In a multitude of words sin is not lacking.
Babies cannot produce fruit or (the fruit of the spirit) Baby trees do not produce fruit, only MATURE TREES produce fruit.. It takes time to grow.
“I wonder if God knows this.” "HE SAID TONGUE IN CHEEK"
Love is the first fruit.
("By this shall all men know you are my disciples.")
Do you have any more peace after receiving the Holy Ghost? The answer is No! No! No! Peace is a fruit.
The fruit of the Spirit is for Holiness.
Praying in the Holy Ghost helps to bring the tongue and therefore the body under subjection.
There are many voices in the earth that are speaking; we must focus on God to hear His voice. The more time spent in the presence of God the more accurately we hear His voice.
The Pastors job is to feed milk to babies, change dirty diapers, wipe tears from their eyes: (a) 1st Peter 2:2 Newborn Babies Heb 5:13 "unskillful in word of righteousness" Babies can’t do for themselves, someone must do for them. (b)
Spiritual babies exhibit these characteristics, they work in the natural or spiritual babies: 1) Malice, guile, hypocrisies, envies and evil speaking. 2) Babies must be looked after in all matters. (All they do is drink milk.) 3)
Pastor must not look for spiritual fruit in babies. Babies cannot produce fruit or the fruit of the spirit. Baby trees do not produce fruit, only mature trees produce fruit. It takes time to grow.
